I couldn’t copy this post to re-post without a great deal of trouble. Â A summary: Â As a new therapist, the author shares the pain & burden of absorbing on the woes of her clients, and carrying too many complex cases too early in their career.
My brief comment follows: Â “You write clearly and well. Â The issues come with the territory for most new healers. Â Given five years of experience and good supervision we can find quicker and better balance around boundary issues — and each five years thereafter. Â Being in a good monthly Training Group with peers and an experienced leader would help a lot too. Â A long process, and well worth it, as self-care is the sine qua non in our vocation.” Â Bob Dick, PhD
